Baseball Recap: De La Salle Finds Home Field Redemption Against IC Catholic Prep

There's no place like home for De La Salle, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They skirted past the IC Catholic Prep Knights 8-6. This was a revenge game for the Meteors: when they faced off against the Knights on Monday, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

De La Salle got a big performance out of Daniel Rocha, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI Rocha has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Francisco Rodriguez, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.

De La Salle's win bumped their record up to 8-21. As for IC Catholic Prep, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-16 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. De La Salle will square off against Leo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Meteors are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for IC Catholic Prep, they will take on Ridgewood at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rebels have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
