Baseball Recap: Ionia Takes a Loss

Ionia lost against Wayland on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Wildcats, falling 11-1. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ionia's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Wayland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ionia will face off against Lansing Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Wayland, they will take on Otsego at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
