Basketball Recap: Sedgwick Comes Up Short

Sedgwick lost against Classical back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sedgwick Cardinals took a blow against the Classical Saints, falling 62-34. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Classical's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Abe Black, who went 5 of 9 en route to 15 points and three steals. Those three steals gave Black a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Graham Yost, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 12 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Sedgwick now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Classical, their record now sits at 3-1.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Sedgwick Cardinals face off against the Lyons Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Classical will take on Trinity in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Classical is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.2 points per game this season.
