While we wait for the games to resume, MaxPreps is taking a look at the most dominant basketball teams of the past decade.
Using
our database, we've compiled the list of the most successful teams from
2010-2020 and today present the most dominant Illinois teams.
Simeon owns state titles in 2011, 2012 and 2013 and has been ranked in the state Top 25 every year of the past decade. According to MaxPreps computer rankings, the Wolverines have been ranked nationally six times with a win percentage of 84 percent during that time period.
Simeon was led by 2013 MaxPreps National Player of the Year
Jabari Parker during their three consecutive state title runs.
Whitney Young finished in a distant second with three appearances nationally in the computer rankings and a pair of state championships. The Dolphins best years of the decade were led by 2014 MaxPreps first team All-American
Jahlil Okafor.
