Volleyball Recap: Wendell Triumphs + How To Watch

Wendell was handed a three-set defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Ririe Bulldogs 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Trojans: when they faced off against the Bulldogs last Tuesday, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

Wendell had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-23, 15-12.

Wendell's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Ririe, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Wendell and Ririe will both be playing New Plymouth the next time they take the court. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Pilgrims at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Trojans will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
