Volleyball Game Preview: Melrose Buffaloes vs. Texico Wolverines

For the second straight game, Melrose will face off against Texico. The Buffaloes will be playing at home against the Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Melrose is on a three-game streak of home wins, Texico an eight-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season), meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.

Melrose is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Mexico's top teams: Texico, who was ranked 20th at the time (Melrose was ranked 13th). The Buffaloes walked away with a 3-1 win over the Wolverines on Saturday. The game was the first time the Buffaloes have beaten the Wolverines on their court since September 29, 2022.

The loss snapped Texico's winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 6-3 record. As for Melrose, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
