Here are some fun facts from what went down on National Signing Day in North Carolina:

- The Tar Heels kept five recruits home, led by a trio of 4-stars including Wake Forest DE/DT Xach Gill, South Mecklenburg (Charlotte) DE Jake Lawler and Eastern Alamance (Mebane) DL Jonah Melton.
- The East Carolina Pirates raided the state and walked away with 11 singees, including five 3-stars.
- N.C. State landed six in-state players, including 3-stars: C.B. Aycock (Pikeville) TE/DE Damien Darden, Mallard Creek (Charlotte) DT/C Grant Gibson, Mooresville CB/WR Chris Ingram, Wakefield (Raleigh) QB/P Matthew McKay and Dudley (Greensboro) OL Bryson Speas.
- The University of Oklahoma landed a pair of Tar Heels in 3-star James Kenan (Warsaw) B/S Marcelias Sutton and unrated Mallard Creek WR/S Ryan Jones.
