West Brunswick is 0-10 against Topsail since March of 2021 but things could change on Monday. The Trojans will welcome the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. West Brunswick has given up an average of 2.6 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

West Brunswick fell victim to Ashley and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Screaming Eagle, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, West Brunswick can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 197th, while Ashley are ranked 20th).

Meanwhile, Topsail came up short against Hoggard on Tuesday and fell 4-2. Topsail haven't had much luck with Hoggard recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Jax Lawrence wasn't going to let Hoggard walk away unscathed as he scored both of Topsail's goals, bringing his season total up to 15 goals.

West Brunswick now has a losing record of 8-9-1. As for Topsail, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9-3.
