Softball Recap: Northridge Comes Up Short

Carroll hit Northridge with a five-run fifth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Raiders came up short against the Chargers, falling 8-2. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Chargers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Northridge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Halle Moeller, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double was Moeller's first of the season.

Northridge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Carroll, their victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Northridge will venture away from home to take on South Bend Adams at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Carroll, they will square off against Eastside at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Blazers will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Chargers surely won't give up without a fight.
