Basketball Recap: Hillcrest Comes Up Short

Hillcrest was the 48-45 winner over Crowley's Ridge Academy when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Hillcrest Screamin Eagles came up short against the Crowley's Ridge Academy Falcons on Monday, falling 69-48. While losing is never fun, the Screamin Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the Falcons are ranked 38th).

Hillcrest now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Crowley's Ridge Academy, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hillcrest will head out to square off against Ridgefield Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ridgefield Christian has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 200 points over their last three matchups. As for Crowley's Ridge Academy, they will take on Marked Tree at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
