League recap: Wilson races to league-leading run for San Tan Foothills

San Tan Foothills's Ricky Wilson rumbled for the longest rushing play in V Section VI this season in his game against Tonopah Valley last week. Wilson ran for 82 yards on the play and finished with 168 on the day as his team topped the Phoenix.

Fans got a thrill when Jacob Frithsen and Ben Walker connected against Joy Christian. The longest such play in the league this season, the connection resulted in 62 yards.

Pusch Ridge Christian Academy's dynamic duo of Frithsen and Walker proved tough for the Eagles to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Frithsen threw for 223 yards and 2 touchdowns and Walker had 128 yards receiving. Taylor Fitzgerald helped Pusch Ridge Christian Academy's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 92 yards.

The Lions' dynamic duo of Frithsen and Walker proved to be unstoppable against Joy Christian, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Walker was the best wideout in the league this week as Pusch Ridge Christian Academy fell to Brian Cole's team.

Wilson was the most successful running back in V Section VI this week. Saige Waxter also contributed to the rushing game with 86 yards on the ground.

Frithsen put up the best numbers in passing as Troy Cropp's team lost to the Eagles.

He was 11-19 with 0 interceptions.

San Carlos was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to second in the league. The Braves defeated Alchesay 12-8 earlier in the week.
