Basketball Recap: Cambridge Christian Comes Up Short

After soaring to 65 points the game before, Cambridge Christian was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They were outmatched by the Bradenton Christian Panthers and fell 64-30. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lancers of the 77-48 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2022.

When it comes to explaining why Cambridge Christian lost, don't look at Zay Burton. Despite the final result, he posted eight points and 11 boards. Burton has been hot, having posted ten or more rebounds the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Jansen, who had seven points and nine boards.

Cambridge Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Bradenton Christian, they pushed their record up to 16-7 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

Cambridge Christian has already played their next contest, a 62-39 victory against St. Petersburg Catholic on the 30th. As for Bradenton Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 69-61 loss against Northside Christian on the 30th.
