Helix lost to Grossmont back in May of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Highlanders blew past the Foothillers 15-3. Considering the Highlanders have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Katelyn Woodland looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Helix let Nikaylah Domingo and Clarissa Torres run wild. Domingo went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double, while Torres got on base in three of her four plate appearances with four runs and one RBI. Those four RBI gave Domingo a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ta'Tiannah Wright, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Helix hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in nine consecutive games.
