Softball Recap: Creekside Knights vs. Mandarin Mustangs

Creekside won the last time they faced Mandarin, and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Creekside Knights came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mandarin Mustangs and snuck past 5-3.

Kaylee Martineau made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits (and not a single walk). Martineau has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than six innings in four consecutive pitching appearances. Martineau was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
