The Wiseburn- Da Vinci Wolves will head out to challenge the Carson Colts at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wiseburn- Da Vinci is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.2 runs per game this season.

Wiseburn- Da Vinci fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against West on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The Wolves have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Wiseburn- Da Vinci got a good showing from Nathaniel Buendia, who tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits.

At the plate, Lonnie Jackson and Peyton Tate stepped up to the plate in a big way. Jackson went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double, while Tate scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5. That double was Jackson's first of the season. Edward Sanchez was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Carson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of El Segundo.

Wiseburn- Da Vinci's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Carson, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Carson's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Wiseburn- Da Vinci hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .323. It's a different story for Carson, though, as they've only averaged .109. Will they be able to contain Wiseburn- Da Vinci's hitters?

Wiseburn- Da Vinci came up short against Carson in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 6-1. Can Wiseburn- Da Vinci avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
