Softball Recap: Salinas Falls Short of Saint Francis in the Playoffs

Salinas and Saint Francis squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Salinas had to settle for second. They fell 6-1 to the Lancers. The Cowboys haven't had much luck with the Lancers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Salinas saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kelsie Domenighini, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Salinas' defeat dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Saint Francis, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Salinas nor Saint Francis have any future games scheduled.
