Basketball Recap: Blacklick Valley's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

It was a good run, but Blacklick Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 53-45 to the Ferndale Yellow Jackets. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-45 back in December of 2024.

Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Drew McEvoy, who posted 11 points. Drew Gdula was another key player, going 5 for 10 on his way to 12 points.

Blacklick Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Ferndale, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Blacklick Valley will take on Turkeyfoot Valley Area at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ferndale, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Rockwood at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
