Basketball Recap: Hockinson Comes Up Short

Hockinson lost against Mark Morris back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hockinson Hawks took a 79-62 bruising from the Mark Morris Monarchs. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 254th, while the Monarchs are ranked 57th).

Hockinson has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Mark Morris, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hockinson will face off against Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Mark Morris, they will challenge Washougal at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Mark Morris' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 contests.
