Softball Recap: Unionville-Sebewaing Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

It's playoff time, and Unionville-Sebewaing had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Michigan Lutheran Seminary Cardinals by a score of 4-1 on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Patriots sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Olivia Green spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Unionville-Sebewaing saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Macy Prime, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. Nataley Harder also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Unionville-Sebewaing's win bumped their record up to 21-17. As for Michigan Lutheran Seminary, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 32-11.

Coming up, Unionville-Sebewaing will challenge Mendon on Saturday. The Hornets will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight. Michigan Lutheran Seminary does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
