Payson waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Benjamin Franklin Chargers. This was a revenge game for the Longhorns: when they faced off against the Chargers last Thursday, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 15-25, 25-16, 25-20.

Maddie Johns paced Payson's offense, picking up 16 kills. Johns got some help from Madi Plain and her 33 assists. Darla Long controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Payson's win bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Benjamin Franklin, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Payson will venture away from home to challenge ALA - Ironwood at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Benjamin Franklin has already played their next game (against Scottsdale Preparatory Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
