Baseball Recap: Fort Vancouver Falls to Columbia in First Game of Season

Fort Vancouver unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 21-4 to the Columbia Bruins on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 13 in a row.

Shayne Quarles made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-3.

Columbia now has a winning record of 2-1.

While Fort Vancouver had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
