There's no place like home for Edgewood, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They secured a 59-54 W over the McKinley Red Dragons on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Red Dragons: they've now won seven in a row.

Several Red Dragons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was True Carey-Hardin, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 16 boards. Those 16 rebounds gave Carey-Hardin a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Avon Fryer, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 12 points.

Edgewood's victory bumped their record up to 6-14. As for McKinley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edgewood will venture away from home to face off against Berkshire at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Edgewood's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups. As for McKinley, they will take on Jefferson Area in a tournament on February 21st. Jefferson Area will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something McKinley surely won't give up without a fight.
