Baseball Recap: Richmond Continues Home Dominance on Monday

Richmond won against Old Orchard Beach last Tuesday with 13 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. Everything went the Bobcats' way against the Buckfield Bucks as they made off with a 13-3 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Bucks: they've now won seven in a row.

Zander Steele was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Finn Foster, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run.

Richmond always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .618. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in five consecutive games.

Richmond's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 9.4 runs thus far. As for Buckfield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Looking ahead, Richmond will take on Traip at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Buckfield, they will face off against Old Orchard Beach at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
