Football Game Preview: Metrolina Christian Academy Warriors vs. Charlotte Country Day School Buccaneers

The Metrolina Christian Academy Warriors will take on the Charlotte Country Day School Buccaneers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Friday, Metrolina Christian Academy came up short against North Raleigh Christian Academy and fell 35-28.

Although Metrolina Christian Academy took the loss, they still got scores from Micah Crenshaw, Jaxon Williams, Isaiah Mayes, and Matthew Burch.

Meanwhile, Charlotte Country Day School was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 21-15 to Cannon [Cannon/Concord Academy]. The matchup marked the Buccaneers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Metrolina Christian Academy will have to keep a close watch on Braylon Clark and John Jeannetta, a pair of players who had a big impact on Charlotte Country Day School's prior game. Clark picked up 186 receiving yards, while Jeannetta rushed for 68 yards.

Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed nine in total. All came from Amir Drissi: he went 3-for-3 kicking field goals for nine points.

Metrolina Christian Academy's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Charlotte Country Day School, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.
