Soccer Preview: Normandy vs. Westlake
The Normandy Invaders will challenge the Westlake Demons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.
Westlake will have to contend with a Normandy team hungry for a win, something the squad hasn't seen since August 31. Normandy and Fairview finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Invaders as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, Westlake came up short against Olmsted Falls on Saturday and fell 3-1. Avery Shreffler was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on her (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.
