Softball Recap: Estill County Takes a Loss

After flying high against Breathitt County last Wednesday, Estill County came back down to earth. The Engineers took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Boyle County Rebels on Tuesday. The Engineers have struggled against the Rebels recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Estill County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Spencer Young, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Estill County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Boyle County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Estill County will venture away from home to square off against South Laurel at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Boyle County, they will head out to challenge Highlands at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
