Brewer and Colleyville Heritage are an even 3-3 against one another since November of 2017, but not for long. The Brewer Bears will host the Colleyville Heritage Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Brewer is returning to their home court after beating Chisholm Trail on theirs, despite the fact Chisholm Trail has dominated at home this season. Brewer sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 33-31 win over Chisholm Trail on Tuesday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Bears' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 324th, while the Rangers are ranked 134th).

Brewer found their leader in sophomore Braylen Brown, who posted 11 points. Brown is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jayden Jones, who earned nine points.
Meanwhile, Colleyville Heritage strolled past Grapevine with points to spare last Friday, taking the game 55-36. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Colleyville Heritage's win came from a few key players Brewer will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Sameer Johnson, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds. Cash Gardner was another key player, putting up 14 points.
Brewer is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-15 record this season. As for Colleyville Heritage, they now have a winning record of 16-15.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Brewer has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 23.8 boards per game. However, it's not like Colleyville Heritage struggles in that department as they've been averaging 21.7 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
