It was a good run, but Thompson unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Science Hill Hilltoppers by a score of 2-1.

Maddy Henderson paced Thompson's offense, picking up seven kills. Henderson got some help from Jayla Green and her 12 assists. Green was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Isa Dau was the offensive standout of the game as she had 16 digs and three assists.

Thompson's loss dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Science Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Thompson has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Landmark Christian on the 13th. As for Science Hill, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Academy of Richmond County on the 13th.
