Pierce had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Woodland Christian Cardinals. This was payback for the Bears, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-19.

Leah Charter paced Pierce's offense, picking up five kills. Charter got some help from Magali Jauregui and her 12 assists. Finally, Rylie Delepierre kept Pierce's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Pierce's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Woodland Christian, their defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-5.

Coincidentally, Pierce and Woodland Christian will both be playing Bear River the next time they take the court. The Bears will head out to face the Bruins on Saturday, while the Cardinals will play them later in the day, at 8:00 a.m.
