            Basketball Recap: Lincoln Northwest Falcons vs. Gretna Dragons        
        
		
        
        
            Lincoln Northwest was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their 21st straight  defeat  dating back to last season. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Gretna Dragons an easy  49-29 victory. While the Falcons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Dragons  11-7 in the first  quarter.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Gretna to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Maggie Miller, who  posted 13  points. Miller is trending in the right direction considering she's  improved her point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ava Mcartor, who  had nine points.
Lincoln Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Gretna, they moved to 3-3 with that  win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
 Coincidentally,  the two teams will both be playing Gretna East the next time they take the court. Gretna will head out to face Gretna East at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday, while Lincoln Northwest will  host them  at 5:30  p.m.  on January 7, 2025.
