Soccer Game Preview: Easley vs. Mauldin

The Easley Green Wave will square off against the Mauldin Mavericks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Easley is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals on Thursday, they were much more limited against Greenville on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Red Raiders by a score of 1-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, Mauldin had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Eagles a 2-0 shutout. Give the Mavericks' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Having lost for the first time this season, Easley fell to 3-1. As for Mauldin, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
