Basketball Recap: Webster County Highlanders vs. Greater Beckley Christian Crusaders
Webster County had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 8-7 to make it four. They lost 74-50 to the Greater Beckley Christian Crusaders. While losing is never fun, the Highlanders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while the Crusaders are ranked 19th).
As for Greater Beckley Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-2. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 24 points or more this season.
Greater Beckley Christian was led to victory by Javonte Spencer and Eli Gunter. As for Greater Beckley Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 77-64 victory against Expression Prep Academy on the 12th.
