Basketball Recap: Maplewood Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Maplewood, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They came out on top against the Overton Bobcats by a score of 46-38 on Monday. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

When it comes to explaining why Overton lost, don't look at Ryleigh Meanus. Despite the final result, he went 5 for 10 en route to 14 points. Another player making a difference was Tahj McLemore, who posted six points and eight rebounds.

Maplewood's record now sits at 8-5. As for Overton, they moved to 7-6 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Maplewood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 54-45 win against Glencliff on the 14th. Overton has also already played their next game, a 60-47 defeat against Cane Ridge on the 14th.
