Football Game Preview: West Hardin Oilers vs. West Sabine Tigers

West Hardin hasn't had much luck against West Sabine recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Oilers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Friday, West Hardin came up short against Deweyville and fell 44-34. While the Oilers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Pirates 12-6 in the first quarter.

West Hardin's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Marcus Hashaw, who rushed for 71 yards and two TDs on only eight carries, and Dmarques Guillory, who picked up 173 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Hashaw has become a key player for the Oilers: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 0-4 otherwise.

Meanwhile, West Sabine waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They took their game with ease, bagging a 56-27 victory over the Rebels. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won six matchups by 24 points or more so far this season.

West Hardin's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for West Sabine, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
