With a playoff win on the line, Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial rose to the challenge on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Leander Lions, sneaking past 9-8. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Lions on Saturday, they had to take a 6-2 defeat.
