St. Joseph Regional, DeSoto take over top spots in their regions.

Two teams moved up to the top spot in their region this week, one of them without even playing a game.

St. Joseph Regional (Montvale, N.J.) did not play last week, but took over the top spot in the Northeast when Paramus Catholic slid down to No. 2. St. Joseph Regional has a big game this week when it faces No. 6 Bergen Catholic (Oradell, N.J.).

Meanwhile DeSoto (Texas), coming off its big win over Cedar Hill, moved up to No. 1 in the Southwest over previous No. 1 Allen (Texas).

The other No. 1 teams stayed the same with St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) first in the West, Washington (Miami) at No. 1 in the South and Colerain (Cincinnati) in the top spot in the Midwest.

The regional rankings are based on the MaxPreps computer rankings. Record and ranking are included for each team.
