Recap: Taliaferro County JAGUARS vs. Lincoln County Red Devils
The Taliaferro County JAGUARS suffered their biggest loss since November 28, 2023 on Tuesday. They were beaten by Lincoln County 60-22. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Taliaferro County in their matchups with Lincoln County: they've now lost six in a row.
Several JAGUARS players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Omareon Weaver, who scored six points along with seven rebounds. Tyriq Long was another key contributor, scoring a point along with 11 rebounds and nine blocks.
Leading Lincoln County to victory were Mekhi Wade and Jaiden Dukes. Wade scored 13 points, while Dukes scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlin "RJ" Crite, who scored eight points.
Taliaferro County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Lincoln County, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Washington-Wilkes the next time they take the court. Lincoln County will head out to face Washington-Wilkes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Taliaferro County will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
