Soccer Game Preview: Schlagle vs. Sumner Academy + How To Watch

Schlagle is 1-9 against Sumner Academy since September of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Stallions are taking a road trip to take on the Sabres. Sumner Academy took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Schlagle, who comes in off a win.

Schlagle was handed a four-goal defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They beat Atchison by a goal, winning 2-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for Schlagle as it put an end to their five-match losing streak.

Meanwhile, Sumner Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Harmon on Tuesday and fell 4-3.

Schlagle's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-7-1 and their overall record up to 2-11-1. As for Sumner Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5-1.

Schlagle might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from Sumner Academy in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Stallions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
