Basketball Game Preview: Orange Lions vs. Perry Pirates

Orange is 1-9 against Perry since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Orange Lions will take on the Perry Pirates at 11:00 a.m. Orange is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.

Orange will bounce into Saturday's contest after beating Hawken, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Orange took down Hawken 50-36 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Perry humbled West Geauga with a 59-13 victory. That 46 point margin sets a new team best for the Pirates this season.

Perry's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Orange, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-9.

Orange was dealt a bruising 63-30 loss at the hands of Perry when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Orange avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
