Central Aroostook and Penobscot Valley squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Central Aroostook had to settle for second. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Howlers. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Central Aroostook haven't been shut out since back in October.

Central Aroostook's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4-1. As for Penobscot Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2-2.

Central Aroostook does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Penobscot Valley, they will challenge Ashland at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Ashland's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Penobscot Valley's offense will have their work cut out for them.
