Softball Recap: Deer Lakes Takes a Loss

The Deer Lakes Lancers lost 16-8 to the Union County Patriots on Friday. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sophia Laurenza was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Siena Plummer was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

Deer Lakes now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Union County, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Deer Lakes will square off against Clinton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Union County will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Scott at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th.
