Football Recap: Morrill Falls to Bayard in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Morrill unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by the Bayard Tigers and fell 52-12. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.

Bayard was led to victory by Isaac Houchin and Coy Armstrong. Houchin rushed for 145 yards and a pair of scores on only 11 carries, while Armstrong threw for 73 yards and three touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. Houchin's longest rush was for an impressive 52 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Looking ahead, Morrill will face off against Brady at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bayard, they will take on Kimball at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
