Volleyball Recap: Brantley County Herons vs. Cook Hornets
Brantley County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cook Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-0 loss last Tuesday.
In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Brantley County sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-15, 21-25, 17-15.
Brantley County's defeat dropped their record down to 11-18. As for Cook, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-9 record.
Coincidentally, Brantley County and Cook will both be playing Faith Baptist Christian Academy the next time they take the court. The Hornets will head out to face the Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Herons will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
