On Tuesday Drew Childress struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (and not a single walk). The effort also marked the fewest walks (zero) Childress has had since back in March. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his third in a row with less than one earned run. For the season, he has an ERA of 1.44 over 34 innings pitched.
