Softball Game Preview: Seacrest Country Day Stingrays vs. Lely Trojans

The Seacrest Country Day Stingrays will square off against the Lely Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Seacrest Country Day lost 15-5 to Neumann on Friday. The Stingrays have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Seacrest Country Day saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caroline Porter, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Maeve Magee-Fullam was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Lely's offense. They came up short against Southwest Florida Christian on Tuesday, falling 15-0.

Seacrest Country Day's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Lely, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

Everything went Seacrest Country Day's way against Lely when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Seacrest Country Day made off with a 16-3 victory. Will the Stingrays repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
