Basketball Recap: Rapid City Central Takes a Loss

Rapid City Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 39-35 heartbreaker at the hands of the Roosevelt Rough Riders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cobblers of the 54-44 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Rapid City Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Roosevelt, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rapid City Central will host Sturgis Brown at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Roosevelt, they will face off against Tea at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
