Football Recap: Braylon Lawson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Sparkman over Mae Jemison

Sparkman was the 31-7 winner over Mae Jemison when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Senators fell 34-27 to the Jaguars on Friday.

Sparkman lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Braylon Lawson, who rushed for 133 yards and one TD. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 133 rushing yards. Sparkman also got help from Zayden Bodner, who showed off his sure hands for 87 receiving yards.

Sparkman's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Mae Jemison, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Sparkman has already played their next contest, a 29-26 victory against Bob Jones on the 3rd. As for Mae Jemison, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 22-16 defeat against Southside on the 3rd.
