Basketball Game Preview: Mars Hill Bible Panthers vs. Scottsboro Wildcats

The Mars Hill Bible Panthers just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Scottsboro Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Mars Hill Bible came up into this matchup off a tough 28-point defeat on Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Wayne County by a score of 64-61 on Monday. The Panthers have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 59 points the game before, Scottsboro was a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They were beaten by Huffman 65-30. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Vikings are ranked eighth).

Scottsboro has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-12 record this season. As for Mars Hill Bible, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-6.

Mars Hill Bible strolled past Scottsboro in their previous meeting on January 4th by a score of 71-57. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mars Hill Bible since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
