Volleyball Recap: Isabella Peters and Caitie Dunbar Secure Win for Van Buren

Van Buren hadn't done well against Greenwood recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Pointers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Bulldogs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pointers.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-9, 21-25, 25-15.

Leading Van Buren to victory were Caitie Dunbar and Isabella Peters. Dunbar had nine digs and two aces, while Peters had 26 digs. Dunbar has been hot for a while, having also posted 13 or more assists the last 11 times she's played.

When it comes to explaining why Greenwood lost, don't look at Janie Witherington. Despite the final result, she had 31 digs and one assist.

Van Buren's victory bumped their record up to 13-6-1. As for Greenwood, they dropped their record down to 15-15 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
