Baseball Recap: Estero Gets the Win

Estero posted their closest victory since February 13th on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bonita Springs Bullsharks, sneaking past 5-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Evan Goeller was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sandro Hernandez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Estero's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Bonita Springs, they moved to 8-3 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Estero didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-5 defeat against LaBelle on the 10th. As for Bonita Springs, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 13-5 victory against Golden Gate on the 10th.
